Crystal of Atlan has finally launched worldwide and is now up for grabs on Android, iOS, PC, and PlayStation 5. It’s a free-to-play MMO action RPG set in a magicpunk world with spellcasting and futuristic tech. Nuverse is the developer and publisher of the game.
And right after the launch, Nuverse is going to reveal its first major update at the Summer Game Fest Live Showcase on June 6th. Meanwhile, the launch trailer, titled Fatebreaker, gives you a look at the world you’ll be diving into. Watch it right here.
What’s the Story in Crystal of Atlan?
The story is about the tension between ancient magic and futuristic tech. In the game’s world, everything is on edge. Powerful enemies are stirring, and there are plenty of secrets lurking behind the surface.
You’ll take on the role of adventurers trying to dig up the truth behind the ruins of Atlan. You navigate the politics and threats of various factions, and grab rewards while exploring both the map and the systems.
The combat system has fast-paced movement, aerial combos, and a full XYZ-axis setup. You start with 8 base skills and 2 finishers. There are 11 classes to pick from and no character gacha, so you’re free to find your own setup.
Crystal of Atlan is multiplayer. You can run through story missions or jump into bigger co-op dungeons like the Void Realm or 8-player HexChess battles.
