While everyone is still stuck on playing the Rage of Bahamut TCG, which is a good game in case you haven’t tried it, DeNA and gloops International have teamed up and unleashed the Legend Cards TCG onto the Google Play store. Apparently Legend Cards has become exceedingly popular over in Japan.
Sort of a mix between the idea surrounding Pokemon and your usual trading card game, Legend Cards has players scouring in the in-game world for cards that happen to be scattered about. Once you start finding cards you can either fuse them together to create strong, more powerful card or just evolve the creature on the card. There are over 5,000 cards right now to collect that are scattered everywhere. All the art on the cards is in a great style of anime.
Speaking about the art style, one of the features listed is that the female cards are done as anime style women, offering up some serious fan service to those of you who enjoy watching a lot of anime but not always for the storyline. All kidding aside, this is a pretty deep game with four ‘normal’ game modes: Quest, Battle, Fusion, and Draw Card. It also comes with addition limited time events such as battle competition, single player questing, or team quest/battle events.
Since this game is powered by Mobage, DeNA’s social gaming platform, there happens to be a fair amount of social features to the game. Some of these features include:
– Send greetings to friends and earn more Draw Points.
– Call for help and tackle quests and events together.
– Trade cards with friends and complete card collections faster
– Cooperate with friends and team up against strong boss enemies
So there isn’t just a whole lot of solo questing and combat in Legend Cards but a lot of team-based gameplay as well. As you may have guessed, Legend Cards is a free-to-play game and comes with optional in-game purchases while offering up the full game for free to download.
