Hero Games’ Pan Studio has released Duet Night Abyss worldwide today. It’s a hybrid action fantasy RPG that’s out across PC, mobile devices, and the Epic Games Store. Over 15 million players pre-registered before launch, so there are special rewards up for grabs as well.
What’s new in Duet Night Abyss?
The game is structured around a dual-protagonist system. It lets you experience the story from two distinct viewpoints, which connect together into a larger fantasy narrative. The game launches with 19 playable characters, including the two leads from Chapter Noctoyager.
Duet Night Abyss features a flexible character editor, too, that goes well beyond traditional RPG presets. The game handles its economy pretty well. No star ratings and stamina restrictions; you can earn everything through gameplay by progressing through in-game stages.
The game tells the story of demons and humans interconnected by fate. Each battle reveals more about a long cycle of suffering and truth. It revolves around farming materials, strengthening your characters, and building unique weapon loadouts.
Combat in Duet Night Abyss combines a mix of melee and ranged weaponry. You can equip whipblades, crossbows, sniper rifles, grenade launchers, and other high-tech options to form multi-dimensional combos.
The stamina-free movement system allows for techniques such as Helix Leap, Sprint, Grappling Hook, and Wall Jump. There’s also the Sigil system, which provides combat buffs that enhance different playstyles, making each fight fluid.
