Thomas K. Young, the indie developer behind titles like Dadish, Be Brave, Barb, and Super Fowlst, is back with a new platforming adventure. It’s called Dunkadillo, which is coming to Android soon. It combines basketball mechanics with armadillo physics.

What’s the game about?

Well, do you ever think what if a basketball were also an armadillo? If no, you’re not the only one. If yes, then you’ll be delighted to know that it’s Dunkadillo. The game stars Dill, an armadillo whose day takes a turn when his best friend Pickle is snatched away by a mysterious tentacle.

Unlike any average armadillo, Dill can roll into a perfectly round ball and bounce across walls, ceilings, and floors. But what makes him special is that he uses his ability not just for mobility but also for dunking himself through basketball hoops.

Dunkadillo on Android spans 50 stages with oddball hazards like exploding bees, oblivious porcupines, and overly friendly frogs. You can also hunt down hidden trading cards that feature characters from Young’s other games. You can unlock a total of 10 these additional playable characters.

Boss fights are part of the game, too, with five big encounters to overcome. And in case the enemies weren’t strange enough, there’s also a huge rabbit lurking somewhere along the way. On that note, catch a glimpse of Dunkadillo on Android right here.

When will Dunkadillo arrive on Android?

Dunkadillo is set to release on September 9th, 2025, for Nintendo Switch and Steam at $9.99 USD. On mobile (Android and iOS), it will be free to play with ads.

Right now, the Play Store page isn’t up yet. But you can head over to the official website for a closer look at the game’s art and creative process.
