In a surprise post on Facebook, Yoozoo announced that its upcoming gacha RPG, Eastpunk: Journey, would launch in open beta in select countries the very next day.
Today, the game has met its promise, as the beta has officially launched in Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, and Singapore. It will run from April 18 to April 27.
Based on the classic 16th century Chinese novel Journey to the West by Wu Cheng’en, Eastern Journey is an upcoming fantasy RPG that focuses on an Eastern civilisation in an fantasy world. With Humanity’s recent discovery of the new energy source known as Mana, society has entered a new golden age of prosperity.
However, everything has a price. As it happens, Mana has dangerous side effects, and it unleashes a great darkness into the world. As the Seeker, you must now find salvation for this crumbling realm.
Rewards Galore
In the same Facebook post, Yoozoo also revealed that the open beta will save your progress when the game officially launches. This means it’s prime time for you gacha fans to get a head start on the grind!
If you are already on that mission, you’ll be happy to know that further rewards are up for grabs. In a more recent Facebook post, Eastpunk Journey has stated that if you post a screenshot of your gameplay to the game’s official Discord, you’ll be able to claim free Jadeite.
But the rewards don’t end there, either, As it recently crossed over the 100,000 pre-registration threshold, you get a character just for playing. That character is the SR rated White Dragon. Additionally, you can claim 88 Jadeite. That’s if you pre-register, of course.
