Konami Digital Entertainment is marking a major milestone this year with the 30th Anniversary of eFootball. There are tons of things happening to celebrate the major event. There’s a global festival and some first-timers making their entry into the game.
Celebrate the 30th Anniversary of eFootball this summer!
Pelé is coming into the game for the first time. Often hailed as one of football’s all-time greats, Pelé finally steps onto as an Epic player card. What makes his debut even more remarkable is that he arrives with two new exclusive skills. These are Phenomenal Finish and Phenomenal Pass, and no other player has had them before. So, you can pair him up with legends like Johan Cruyff and Ferenc Puskás!
As part of the 30th Anniversary celebration, players who log into eFootball during this period will get tons of rewards. Some of the gifts include Focus Cards for Lionel Messi and Lamine Yamal, 10 Item Selectors, and an Epic Legends Assemble Contract. You’ll also get seven 30th Anniversary Chance Deal Contracts, a special 30th Anniversary Kit, as well as Training Plans, eFootball Coins, EXP, and GP.
And there are more incentives in the Tour Events and Challenge Events. There, you can earn additional coins, contracts, EXP, and training items to keep upgrading your squads.
Konami has big plans in the real world, too!
They are set to host the first-ever eFootball World Festival on July 21st, 2025, at Belle Salle Shibuya Garden in Tokyo, Japan. It’s a free event open to eFootball fans and will include 30th Anniversary Live Stage Events. They will feature new content announcements and updates on licensing.
The festival will also be home to the eFootball Championship 2025 World Finals. It’s set to bring together top esports players like Ettorito97 from AC Milan and N_Apriamashvili from Inter Milan, for the ultimate title. The event will be streamed globally in nine different languages.
The journey of eFootball started in 1995 when it was introduced as Winning Eleven, later known as Pro Evolution Soccer (PES). Over the years, the series has transformed into eFootball, a free-to-play football simulation. Head over to the Google Play Store to check it out.
