Square Enix has just unveiled the upcoming collab to celebrate FFVII Ever Crisis’ second anniversary. It’s Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis x Boba Bear Pop-Up. There are some offline as well as online activities that are part of the event.
Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis x Boba Bear must be full of bubbles!
The collab is with Boba Bear in Koreatown, Los Angeles, and will run from September 22nd through December 31st, 2025. The boba shop at 414 S. Western Ave #C will be transformed into a real-life version of the Seventh Heaven Bar, fully themed around Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis.
The décor will recreate the vibe of the in-game bar. It will offer themed drinks, mini-games, photo opportunities, and other small activities that mimic in-game stuff.
But, before the pop-up officially opens its doors to the public, Square Enix is hosting a Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis anniversary celebration. It’s happening at Boba Bear on September 7th, running from 2:00 pm to 11:00 pm.
During the preview celebration, Square Enix Community members will be on site to meet fans. You’ll get to see the immersive setup, while they serve drinks inspired by the game’s roster of iconic characters.
How to get in?
Starting today, you can submit your request for Early Access via the official forums, with submissions open until August 24th. Only 25 players and their plus-ones will be selected to attend a smaller gathering on September 7th from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. It will feature free entry and a complimentary themed drink.
Early Access winners will be notified on or around August 28th with a formal invite from Square Enix Customer Support. If you don’t get Early Access, you still have another option. The general reservation for the anniversary celebration opens on August 30th through BobaBear.
Once the pop-up officially launches on September 22nd, anyone can visit the themed Seventh Heaven Bar experience. Reservations are not mandatory but are highly recommended given that it’s a limited-time setup running until the very end of 2025.
This is the latest in Boba Bear’s long-running history of anime and game-themed takeovers. Their previous successful pop-up collabs include One Piece, Naruto, Arcane: League of Legends, and Demon Slayer.
