The Might and Mastery season in Pokémon GO is coming to an end. The final week of the season is titled Final Strike: GO Battle Week, and it kicks off on May 21st, 2025. Running until May 27th, it’s bringing your Kubfu to full circle.
What’s in Store during the Final Strike: GO Battle Week?
After weeks of grinding, it’s finally time to evolve the determined little bear into the legendary Urshifu. That too in two forms! Depending on how you battle, you can unlock either the Single Strike or Rapid Strike style.
For Single Strike, make sure Kubfu is your buddy and take down 30 Dark-type Pokémon in raids or Max Battles. To get Rapid Strike during Final Strike: GO Battle Week, do the same but with 30 Water-types.
There’s also a Special Research that continues the ongoing Seasonal storyline. You can grab it up until June 3rd, 2025. It hands out Kubfu Candy, Mysterious Components, and encounters with themed Pokémon like Charcadet with a Special Background.
May 25th Is a Special Day
That day is the Gigantamax Machamp Max Battle Day. Gigantamax Machamp’s debut in six-star Max Battles will be from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. During the event, there are more bonuses rolling in.
You’ll only need to travel one-fourth the normal distance to earn Max Particles. The cap for Max Particle storage jumps to 1,600, and all Power Spots will host Gigantamax Battles. Also, you’ll get 8× Max Particles from them during this window and score two extra Special Trades.
Lastly, don’t forget to grab some Max Mushrooms. They temporarily double your Dynamax or Gigantamax Pokémon’s damage. You can use more than one to stretch the timer, but the power boost stays the same.
