One game we got to check out during GDC 2012 was Game Insight’s Rule The Kingdom game which is a sort of city building / RPG type of mash-up for Android. The city building aspects are sort of a side note with this game while the RPG elements really are the focus.
Game Insight breaks away from their usual type of games with Rule The Kingdom. This game is heavily focused on questing and combat with city building aspects on the side. Things like harvesting food, hiring heroes and other city building related activities are still very much a necessity though.
Rule The Kingdom Features:

– Face the many dangers lurking in the dark corners of the Empire; battle through lush forests, scorching deserts and snow-blasted tundra to become a true hero of the empire!
There are literally thousands of quests to complete in this game ranging from finding items to defeating bosses and everything in between. Everything you would find in an RPG is in Rule The Kingdom including spells to learn, weapons and armor to enhance your character and there is even crafting in this game.
Rule The Kingdom won’t be a game you complete in a couple of sittings, it is a very long game. Like all Game Insight titles, you can download Rule The Kingdom off of the Google Play store for free and is supported through in-game purchases.
