Gameloft to release a fix soon for the Adventure of Tin Tin 2D version issue

If you happen to own the Adventures of Tin Tin and got stuck with a 2D Java port looking version of the game there is a bit of a silver lining to that dark cloud. Gameloft has issued a statement recognizing the problem and that a fix will be available shortly.

The issue arose a few days ago when some people with specific devices would download the Adventures of Tin Tin game hoping to get the 3D HD version but instead were treated to a wonderful 2D version of the game which looked like a Java port. Obviously this made a lot of people cry foul and accuse Gameloft of doing a bait-and-switch. At first it looked like only devices running Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0) were being affected but eventually non-ICS devices were as well.

Official Statement from Gameloft:

It has come to our attention that several people who downloaded The Adventures of Tintin received the 2D version of the game instead of the 3D version (pictured below) that they wanted.
If your phone or tablet model is listed here http://bit.ly/w3kpWL, rest assured that an update to correct this problem will be available shortly and you will be able to enjoy the optimal version of the game for your device with 3D graphics.

If your phone model is not listed, please contact [email protected] and provide us with the Google Order Number of your purchase so we can issue you a full refund as soon as possible. You can find this number on the receipt you received after the transaction or in your Google Wallet: http://bit.ly/sx9X07

That list linked in the official statement is actually a pretty long one and chances are your device is already on it if you have been the lucky recipient of a 2D version of Adventures of Tin Tin. If you are not on that list, you will end up getting a refund if you contact Gameloft.
