Gameloft unleashes the official Dark Knight Rises game

We have talked about this game a few times over the past couple of weeks and Gameloft is right on time with releasing the official Dark Knight Rises game onto Google Play. To be fair, we were questioning if it would arrive on time since we are still waiting for Asphalt 7: Heat.

Dark Knight Rises is an open world game themed around the new movie that just came out. You will be able to roam around Gotham as freely as you want, finding side missions to do or sticking with the storyline. You’ll also have random events like jailbreaks, hostage situations and bank robberies happen that you’ll need to attend to.

Not to spoil the game, or the movie, but Dark Knight Rises takes place eight years after Batman hangs up his custom. Getting back into action thanks to the efforts of Selina Kyle and Bane who happen to be trying to take Batman down. Combat is pure action and can get as complex or as simple as you want it to be. Layered on top of the combat are cinematic scenes to make each fight look pretty awesome.

Since there will always be random events happening in the city of Gotham, there is actually a fair amount of replay value with Dark Knight Rises. For those afraid that it was going to be a free-to-play game, we are happy to report that you can pick up Dark Knight Rises for $6.99.
