Gamevil just pushed out an update for their 3D DotA style game on iOS called Plant Wars. Being that a lot of people, including myself, love DotA style games, we figured we would ask our friends at Gamevil if Plants Wars would be coming to Android anytime soon.
Well the good news is that yes, it will be coming to Android and a lot sooner than you might think. For those of you unfamiliar with Plant Wars, in this game you control your hero who goes by the name of Leafy, along with some of his friends, in order to protect your forest from the invading beasts. Each level presents you with swarms of enemies which you have to defeat, eventually destroying their base before moving on to the next level.
One thing that is interesting about this game is that it breaks away from Gamevil’s usual style by sporting 3D graphics and gameplay that isn’t RPG. Granted there are RPG elements involved like getting better gear and items, unlocking new abilities and just like DotA style games, you have units to help you out.
Plant Wars also comes with three difficulties as well: Normal, Hard, and Hell modes. Currently Plant Wars is slated for release sometime in May 2012 if all goes well with the last minute developing and testing. It could be a bit longer. When it does get released onto Android, it will most likely be available for download for free.
