The upcoming Genshin Impact TCG international tournament has been officially announced to start in the second half of 2023! While there isn’t much information out about the event at the moment, we do know that the total prize pool totals $270,000.

If you’re interested in signing up for the tournament, you can do so on the official website for the Wild Card competition!

So, What Does the Tournament Entail?

The tournament itself is aptly named “Astra Carnival: The Prince Cup”, which is a nod to Prince the cat whom you can interact with in the Cat’s Tail in Mondstadt! There will be regional competitions to decide who gets to take part in the latter part of the tournament.

North America, Korea, and Europe will begin first. The competition for Korea starts on June 11, June 16 for Europe, and then June 17 for North America. Those taking part in the regionals will be selected from the top players of the Cat’s Tail Gathering tournament, which was an event organised earlier this year.

Where to Watch the Genshin Impact TCG Tournament

Additionally, the matches for the Astra Carnival tournament will be streamed live on Genshin Impact’s Twitch, and YouTube channels. This is perfect for those who want to keep up with the TCG, as well as for the players who wish to learn more about how to play the game!

A Growing Success

Since its release, Genius Invokation TCG has garnered a worldwide player base, and is an extremely popular part of Genshin Impact. While it’s not everyone’s cup of tea, the game has an avid fanbase who pour their heart and soul into learning the best strategies to use against their opponents.

The most recent Genshin Impact update brought 60 new cards to the table, offering players a wide variety of cards to collect and utilise. We’re not too sure whether there will be any special rules added to the TCG for the Astra Carnival tournament, but we’ll be keeping a close tab on all updates for the exciting competition!
