Get ready to run over some pedestrians, Carmageddon is coming to Android

The wonderful world of racing in an open world and getting bonus points for running over innocent bystanders is going to be making its way to Android in the very near future. Carmageddon, which was originally banned back in 1997 in plenty of countries, is currently being developed for iOS and Android.

For those of you unfamiliar with the game, this is essentially a racing game at its core but it is an open world racing game. This means that there really isn’t a set track, just that you have to be the first across the finish line regardless of the way you go. On top of that, there is a unique points system in which you gain bonus points for running over pedestrians.

According to their Kickstarter project for the upcoming PC game Carmageddon: Reincarnation, donators will be getting the game free within the first 24 hours hours. After that it will be up for downloading on Android and iOS devices for free as well. There is no solid release date announced just yet aside from this Summer but when there is one, we will post an update.
