Go Ape Ship is a co-op monkey mayhem in space. Out now on Android, it’s published by Sound Games. Their other recent title is Spilled, a single-player eco-simulation and adventure game. Two months after its release, the team is already back with a new one.

Work with your crew of daring Astrochimps in Go Ape Ship

You’re in control of a crew of uplifted primates. Their task is to keep a high-tech spacecraft operational. Emergencies pile up, and teamwork becomes the only thing standing between success and total disaster.

Go Ape Ship is for one to eight players. It offers fast sessions and a steady stream of mini games. As a daring Astrochimp, you respond to mounting crises, endure space anomalies, and keep the vessel functional long enough to safely reach the stars. Survive together or not at all!

The structure is similar to most social deduction party games, except here, it’s not about eliminating crewmates but collaborating with them. Cooperation includes reviving downed teammates and taking the necessary medical intervention.

Across each voyage in Go Ape Ship, you must complete more than 40 mini-games. Tasks range from adjusting thrusters and powering shields to cooking meals and even using the bathroom. Neglecting responsibilities can trigger fires, hull breaches, and space viruses.

The spaceship has 8 distinct rooms to explore, unlock, and upgrade. Successful missions award research points based on performance. Meanwhile, you get to journey to 6 destinations across the Solar System.

Go Ape Ship includes 6 difficulty settings, including an endless mode. It supports private lobbies, public matchmaking, in-game voice chat, and full cross-platform play across Android, Windows, Mac, and iOS.

Under its Try Before You Buy approach, you can access the cockpit area and Moon mission for free. You can unlock the full game through a single in-app purchase from the Google Play Store.
