Com2uS has released its newest mobile title, Golf Star 2. But right now, the game has launched in only a few regions around the world. Players in the US, UK, Canada, Australia, Singapore, and the Philippines can grab it on Android and iOS.
What’s new in Golf Star 2?
It offers quick, accessible play sessions while still offering depth if you want to master the sport. Rounds are broken into short bursts, and you can use simple one-button swing controls.
It features more than 80 hyper-realistic golf courses modelled after real-world locations. Several modes are available at launch. They include 1:1 stroke matches, the NearPin Royale, Chance Shot, and the Putting Challenge.
You can go head-to-head in real-time matches with others across the globe and climb rankings in stroke play. Strategise in mechanics like mastering wind direction, terrain differences, and the unique stats of each club and ball.
Customisation plays a big role, with character options ranging from flashy outfits to traditional looks. Alongside this, Golf Star 2 offers plenty of events and rewards as well.
Clean shots and tense matches
The game also offers weather mechanics, terrain, and gear stats, just like the original did with its physics-based engine. You’ll find realistic physical effects like wind and varied terrain that make shot calculation matter.
The original had an RPG style gameplay, with skill trees, ranking tiers, guild systems, seasonal tours, and time-limited item rentals with premium money. Golf Star 2, however, seems to strip back some of that complexity and focus more on match flow.
If you’re in one of the regions where the game has soft launched, you can try it out. Head over to the Google Play Store.
