Greak: Memories of Azur is heading to Android later this year. The devs have showcased a fresh teaser for Android at the latest Latin American Games Showcase. Launched on PC in August 2021, the 2D hand-drawn platformer is expected to land on mobile in Q4 2025.
Take a peek at the announcement tweet and trailers below.
Greak: Memories of Azur Is Coming Exclusively to Android
It’s a single-player scrolling and side-view Metroidvania platformer. It has charming 2D hand-drawn art, which I think is the game’s greatest plus point. The story revolves around three siblings, Greak, Adara, and Raydel. You switch between them, navigating an interconnected world.
Graek is the protagonist. Alongside his older brother Raydel and sister Adara, he forms the game’s main trio. He is the nimblest of the three and can slip through tight passages using his small frame. He wields a Laurean Sword passed down from Raydel.
Adara is a levitating magic user from the Prya monastery. She can dive into water and cast ranged spells, making her vital in both exploration and combat. Raydel is the best warrior among the trio. He relies on a hookshot to get around and brings raw strength and a shield to the group.
What’s the Story?
The world of Azur is falling apart due to an ongoing invasion that has lasted for centuries. The Courines are fleeing from a force infecting the land using bizarre creatures. You try to survive and stay together as a family while solving puzzles and fighting off threats.
The game features 25 trophies in total, split across 8 bronze, 9 silver, 7 gold, and a platinum. The puzzles in the game are designed around the characters’ unique traits. It has a nice blend of gameplay and storytelling that makes it better than an average platformer.
