Erabit Studios has opened the pre-registration for Halls of Torment mobile remake. It will officially launch on September 1st, 2025. The title found immense success on PC when it launched in September 2024 after staying in early access for a year.
Do keep in mind that a premium version of Halls of Torment already launched on mobile last year (in October). That one costs $4.99, while the upcoming game will be a freemium version. So, soon you can try the retro horde survival gameplay for free.
A mix of roguelike and late ’90s RPG visuals
In the game, you step into the role of different heroes. You descend into the ominous halls and fight endless swarms of grotesque enemies. Along the way, the infamous Lords test your strategy and survival skills in battles.
Erabit Studios has taken the opportunity to rework and expand on the PC version. You’ll get shorter, mobile-friendly sessions. Battles will last between 6 and 15 minutes. Meanwhile, you’ll still find hundreds of traits, skills, quests, and items to experiment with.
Some of the returning locations and features have also been reimagined. The Shrine of Torment has been reworked with tougher challenges. The Vault map has been revamped to offer richer loot pools, including powerful legendary gems. The mobile version introduces global leaderboards as well.
When the game launches, a total of 11 distinct classes will be available. You can brew magical potions with the blessing of the Goddess of Fortune to gain new advantages during runs. On that note, catch a glimpse of the Halls of Torment Pre-registration trailer here.

As promised during the launch of the premium version, Erabit Studios is dropping a freemium version to cater to more mobile gamers. The premium version has the same content as the PC version. So, it will be interesting to see how much content they bring to the freemium title.
