Erabit has released a fresh update for Halls of Torment: Premium on mobile, and it adds the new playable hero, The Bard. Since he’s a musician, the new content brings on a music-based combat style that contrasts with the game’s otherwise grim and oppressive tone.
The Bard in Halls of Torment: Premium will make you believe that sound can be lethal
Instead of relying on straightforward attacks, this character fights through rhythm. His abilities activate in time with music and encourage you to think about flow and timing rather than raw damage alone.
Resonating chords cut through crowds of enemies, while lingering refrains interfere with the strength of the tormented Lords. A final crescendo can wipe out large sections of the battlefield. Catch a glimpse of The Bard playing his lute in Halls of Torment: Premium below.
Alongside the arrival of The Bard, the update expands Halls of Torment: Premium in several other ways. You now get 6 new abilities related to sound and rhythm. You’ll also discover 5 new artifacts and take on 20 new quests.
The devs have introduced a new Manual Level Up feature as well. When you enable this option in the Settings menu, characters stop levelling up automatically. So, you’ll need to apply upgrades by hand.
Have you tried the game on mobile yet?
After reaching a 96% positive rating and 1 million players on Steam, Halls of Torment launched on mobile in October 2025. It brings the full PC experience to mobile, with its deep build customisation and fast-paced roguelike structure that works for both quick and long sessions.
It’s a horde survival game with a pre-rendered retro look inspired by RPGs from the late 90s. You select from multiple hero characters and descend into the deadly Halls of Torment. You battle unholy horrors from beyond and endure wave after wave of enemies until facing one of the tormented Lords.
