Havok hosts the Project Anarchy Mobile Game Dev Challenge with a grand prize of $100,000

The company behind the Havok game engine for game developers and the new Project Anarchy mobile game developer suite are hosting the Project Anarchy Mobile Game Dev Challenge. Mobile game developers will be competing for a top prize of $100,000 for the best mobile game build using the new Project Anarchy mobile game development engine.

The challenge begins today and will run until May 31st, 2014. The contest will actually have a two-phase submission process where developers who manage to get their game in by February 1st, 2014 will be rewarded with free feedback from the team at Havok. Those developers will also be considered for select marketing/PR support, including the possibility of having their games showcased at the Havok booth during GDC 2014.

Project Anarchy was created to eliminate the barrier of entry for developers to make quality mobile games easily and affordably, and the Development Challenge is one more step towards inspiring the community to develop creative new titles using this powerful tool-set. It’s exciting to see teams take to these tools, and build mobile games with the scope and ambition usually seen on consoles and PCs. Best of luck to all of the developers entering the competition. We look forward to seeing some more great titles made with Project Anarchy. – Ross O’Dwyer, Head of Developer Relations at Havok

Ten finalists will be selected on June 16th, 2014 and then June 24th, 2014 the winners will be selected with the grand prize being $100,000. There also happens to be cash prizes for second ($25,000) and third place ($15,000) as well plus additional prizes to be won for early submissions.
