Heal: Pocket Edition, the abstract puzzle adventure game from Distraint developer Jesse Makkonen, is currently 40% off on the Google Play Store. You can pick it up for $2.99, down from its usual price of $4.99.
Released earlier this year, Heal is a story-driven game in which you play as an old man with dementia moving around inside his home. Puzzles involve interacting with everyday household items like clocks and phones.
Like the Distraint games, Heal is heavily stylised and mildly traumatic, though not in the pure horror sense of Makkonen’s previous games. It attempt to capture the experience of dementia, which is engaging and challenging, but also quite dark.
Heal is been favorably reviewed, with a 4.4 average user rating on the Google Play Store. If you enjoyed Distraint, or if you like this kind of probing indie game, it’s a no-brainer at this price.
You can download Heal right now for $2.99.
