Hearthstone has dropped a new set, the Day of Rebirth Mini-Set. The set adds 38 new cards that bring in undead dinosaurs, ancient powers, and a festival-inspired theme that celebrates the Tortollan tradition of dinosaur hatching in Un’Goro Crater.
Here’s what Day of Rebirth brings to Hearthstone
The Egg of Khelos sits at the centre of the update. It acts as the key to unleash ancient power. Out of the 38 new cards, there are 4 Legendary cards, 1 Epic, 17 Rare, and 16 Common. You can either find the cards in The Lost City of Un’Goro packs or purchase them as a complete 72-card set.
You can also channel primal energy through Beast Speaker Taka, one of the standout Legendary minions in the set. Her Battlecry lets you Discover a Legendary Beast and take on its stats. When she dies, her Deathrattle Summons that same Beast onto the field, making her a huge swing card no matter when she shows up.
Another theme in the set revolves around donning ancient masks that disguise minions as iconic Beasts of the past. For example, the Devilsaur Mask grants the ferocity of King Krush. Catch a glimpse of it here!
The lore of the Tortollan festival
It lights up Un’Goro with bonfires, parades, fireworks, and stories as the ancient Egg of Khelos finally prepares to hatch after generations. To mark the occasion, Blizzard is running multiple in-game events.
The Day of Rebirth celebration runs from September 2nd to 23rd in Hearthstone. It’s hosted by City Chief Esho. If you complete event quests during this time, you’ll get rewards like 4 ‘The Lost City of Un’Goro’ Packs, a Golden version of the same pack, the Rebirth Celebration Card Back, and the Rebirth Coin.
Once the festival ends, Hallow’s End takes over on September 23rd and runs until October 14th. If you take part in it, you can unlock 2 ‘The Lost City of Un’Goro’ Packs, 2 Random Commons, 2 Random Rares, 2 Random Epics, and a Random Legendary card. There’s also the Nightmare Zail Hearthstone Hero Skin to collect.
As for how to get the new mini-set itself, you can grab the standard version for $14.99 or 2000 Gold, while the all-Golden edition costs $69.99 or 10,000 Gold. That premium bundle also includes a Diamond copy of Beast Speaker Taka.
