Released by Tequila Games, Puzzle Flyer is a new puzzler that’s been released on Android. In Puzzle Fleet, players are looking to find the fleet that’s hidden, and sink each ship in it. The game’s perspective is top down, with each of the ships taking up a differing number of spots within the grid.
So, in this regard, it’s a bit like Battleship, only it’s not about lobbing munitions at a mystery fleet on the other side of a wall. Instead, players will use puzzle solving skills, as the board for the game is set up like a nonogram, with numbers running along the top and left-hand side, that are clues as to where the ships are located.

Though it’s basically a simple puzzle game, it does employ 3D graphics and a soundtrack, as well as global leaderboards so players can see how they rank. The game’s page on Google Play does advise that an internet connection is recommended, and that playing without one does disable some of the game’s features, though it doesn’t specify which ones. The game can found on Google Play for free, with optional IAPs in tow.
