Smilegate Megaport has revealed that the Epic Seven Global Creator Invitational Season 2 will come to a close this weekend.
The final match will be live streamed at 03:00 on Sunday 18th December. You’ll be able to watch it on YouTube or Twitch.
For the uninitiated, Epic Seven is a visually spectacular mobile turn-based RPG in which you have to summon powerful hero characters and thrust them into tactical battles against AI enemies and other players.
The Global Creator Invitational Season 2 is a four-day event, spread across two weekends. It began with the first quarterfinal match on December 10th, and will continue with a semifinal on Saturday 17th December.
The winners of those matches will go head to head on Sunday for a chance to win the grand prize of 80,000 Skystone.
But it won’t be easy. There are going to be as many as eight pre-bans in the semifinal, and 12 in the final starting two in the first round of battles. This will radically affect how teams use different strategies.
Meanwhile, the whole thing is being broadcast in four languages, so a vast number of fans can join in. Those languages are English, Korean, Japanese, and Traditional Chinese.
The Global Creator Invitational Season 2 sees 32 Epic Seven content creators across eight teams taking each other on in real-time arena battles.
This time around the field is even bigger than before, with players from the US, Portugal, Korea, Taiwan, and Japan all taking part.
Team leaders were able to select their teams without region or language restrictions, leading to a much more international competition.
Not only will this weekend’s matches be live streamed, but you’ll be able to tune into all sorts of other events, including an Epic Match Prediction and Twitch Drops.
