Heroes of History is celebrating its first birthday, so the game’s developer and publisher, InnoGames, is dropping multiple fun events and gifts. Hamburg-based InnoGames is known for Forge of Empires, Elvenar, and Tribal Wars.

Since its worldwide release on September 26th, 2024, the city-building and hero-collecting game has pulled in over 2 million registered players. And in this past year, the game has rolled out 17 new features and game modes, 114 in-game events, and 28 new heroes.

What’s in store during the Heroes of History first birthday?

The anniversary festivities kicked off with warm-up activities, including the new Anniversary Countdown, a milestone-style event. There’s a week of 24-hour Hero Rate-Up promotions running as well. It gives boosted chances at summoning icons like Albert Einstein, Marie Curie, Dracula, Joan of Arc, Achilles, Medusa, and William Wallace.

Next, a Legendary and Double Rate-Up weekend runs from September 26th to September 29th. The developers also added anniversary sales and free gifts until October 6th.

There’s also a playful personality test called Discover Your Inner Legend. It lets players find out which hero best matches their personality. You can check it out here.

The central anniversary season runs from September 24th through October 21st, 2025. It brings back all seasonal heroes released in 2025. So, you’ll be able to recruit Amelia Earhart, Blackbeard, Mozart, and more.

During the same window, there’s also the Summon of the Stars leaderboard event running from September 24th to 29th.

Visual updates are part of the Heroes of History first birthday update, too. The devs released a new anniversary logo, a refreshed loading screen, and five Meet the Team videos that give a peek at the people behind the game.
