Sources inside HTC claim it that it’s 3D plans are advancing quite nicely. Starting with Android smartphones, (presumably for that growing gaming market segment nVIDIA told us about) auto stereoscopic glasses free 3D display technology HTC demonstrated last year at Barcelona’s Mobile World Congress.
They also claim HTC will be releasing these phones sometime before the end of next year if all goes well. HTCpedia mentions that they like to be first to market with a technology most recently, Sprint’s WiMAX 4G depending on who you ask technology being a perfect example.
Among HTC’s 3D display competitors are Sharp, Motorola and Acer.
