[Update: Game Released] Joe Danger is planning to make the journey to Android devices this year

The dirt bike riding daredevil Joe Danger will soon be making a home on Android in a new game. This new game, which is self-titled, is actually based off of the Joe Danger Touch game currently available on iOS.

Update: April 17th, 2015 – 7:13 AM: Hello Games has made Joe Danger available to download in the Google Play Store. If you have played this series before, you know it has great graphics, over the top tracks, and lots of game play. The game is now available to download in the Google Play Store and the Amazon App Store. As noted in the previous update, it is $3.38 in the Google Play Store and $3.52 in the Amazon App Store. The game does offer in-app purchases, should you choose to take advantage of them. The links to download the game in both stores is at the end of this article.

Update: April 13th, 2015 3:21pm PST:We now have an official release date for Joe Danger finally! This game will be launching on Android this Friday, April 17th, 2015. As for pricing, it will be around $3.38 on Google Play and around $3.52 on Amazon’s Appstore. We will post another update this Friday when it lands on both marketplaces.

For those of you not familiar with Joe Danger, essentially you take control of this little daredevil on a dirt bike and proceed to pull of a variety of stunts as best as you can. You will have to deal with a plethora of hazards including fun things like shark-infested swimming pools and spike traps.

Joe Danger Features:

– 80 levels across 10 challenging tours give hours and hours of play
– Get a perfect run to win each level’s Pro Medal
– Beat your friends on the online scoreboards and win the full set of achievements
– Collect and play as 29 different characters
– Play the Daily Challenge mode for a special new level to beat every day

For those of you who use controllers when playing your Android games, Joe Danger will come with full controller support. This includes Xbox 360, PS3 and generic HID/USB controllers, plus the MOGA gamepad and the Nvidia Shield. However, the touch-based controls have been built specifically for this game which means you will be doing things like swiping to pull wheelies, hold to crouch and release to jump, tap to collect coin bonuses, and performing stunts with a swipe as well.

As for when Joe Danger will be racing onto Android, right now there is only a ‘coming soon’ label. When it does get released, Joe Danger will be available on Google Play, Amazon’s Appstore, and for the Ouya console (no achievements and leaderboards on Ouya).
