Kaiju No. 8 The Game has opened pre-registration on Android for global players. Akatsuki Games dropped the first trailer in June 2024. After almost a year of no news, the manga and anime adaptation is finally heading to mobile and PC soon.
When Is It Landing on Mobile?
The app store listing mentions the launch date as August 31st, 2025. The game is a team-up project between Akatsuki Games, TOHO, and Production I.G., aiming to nail the vibe of Naoya Matsumoto’s world.
Gameplay-wise, Kaiju No. 8 The Game takes the anime’s cinematic approach and mixes with classic turn-based combat. You’ll have to expose a Kaiju’s core before you can unleash your biggest attacks.
You get to control characters like Mina Ashiro, Soshiro Hoshina, and Kikoru Shinomiya. In the game, they have well-detailed 3D models and bring their signature battle moves from the series.
Even though you’ll get to relive the key arcs, the game isn’t just a retelling of Kafka Hibino’s story. It’s expanding the Kaiju No. 8 universe with original storylines.
