Kemco’s first strategy RPG, Legend of Ixtona, is now available on the Google Play store at the promotional price of $3.99, but will soon go back to its regular price of $8.99.
Legend of Ixtona tells the story of Ixtona, a land that has finally found peace thanks to its king. Unfortunately, this peace is short-lived when the king is murdered by his own son, Erbax. The king’s other son, Prince Kyle, witnesses the wrongdoings of his brother and is forced to take refuge in a small frontier village. It is there that Kyle must forge alliances with the locals and amass the necessary strength to overthrow his brother and avenge his father.
- Legend of Ixtona plays similarly to other strategy RPGs on the surface, with grid-based movement and a turn-based battle system. During battles the player must take into account the geography, attack types, enemy movement and each hero’s movement range.
- In between fights the player can invest their hard-earned money into the village and help it grow. As the village grows the player will unlock better equipment that can be acquired through research. Eventually the player can hire fighters who will venture off and collect the materials necessary to research equipment.
- Heroes can be hired or created in Legend of Ixtona, with their appearance, name and class all being customizable. These heroes can then be uploaded and made available to other players to download, and vice versa.
The promotional price for Legend of Ixtona won’t be around for long, so fans of strategy and tactics RPGs should act fast!
