Lemmings: The Puzzle Adventure Gets a Content Update as It Passes 25 Billion Lemmings Saved Milestone

Lemmings: The Puzzle Adventure has hit the impressive-sounding milestone of 25 billion lemmings saved, just two years after it launched on mobile.

Of course, the franchise goes back a lot further than that. Gamers of a certain vintage may recall playing it way back in the early 90s, when it launched on the Commodore Amiga.

Now, as then, the gameplay sees you rescuing lemmings as they cheerfully parade in a line towards their doom – though it’s all a lot louder and faster, as you’d expect.

You save lemmings by assigning certain lemmings certain tasks, such as digging a hole, building a staircase, or acting as a blocker.

There are thousands of stages to complete, filled with traps to avoid and puzzles to solve. This number is growing all the time, too. Like right now.

The latest Lemmings: The Puzzle Adventure update adds a further 250 levels, eight new tribes, and 32 new lemming characters.

Plus, there’s a whole new game mode. It’s called Reward Rocket, and it sees you completing daily challenges and playing for prizes.

You can download Lemmings: The Puzzle Adventure for free right now on the Google Play Store.
