LHEA and the Word Spirit is an upcoming puzzle adventure for mobile and PC. The game is developed by solo developer Jo Drolet under the banner of Soul Fuel Games. The game marks Drolet’s first big project.

After nearly three years of development, the game will release on September 22nd. It brings a mixture of casual roguelite elements and turn-based strategy. With the release date reveal announcement, the dev has shared some glimpses of the game as well.

What is LHEA and the Word Spirit?

The story kicks off in the In-Between, where the main character Lhea, wakes up. In-Between is a dreamlike world suspended between life and death. Guided by an ancient Word Spirit, her task is to master an unusual battle system.

She has to manipulate timelines, help wandering souls move on, and ultimately restore balance by sealing fractured realms. The game’s combat is unique since you manipulate the flow of the timeline itself.

To keep battles fresh, State of Mind and Harmony power-ups provide different ways to tilt the odds. Meanwhile, the Fate Flute is a mystical instrument that can hold up to nine enchanted rings across three separate presets. Each ring unlocks knowledge spells that expand your abilities.

Looks promising!

LHEA and the Word Spirit is about crafting the perfect run. The game lets you explore a calm atmosphere with colourful visuals. Although it’s quite noticeable that the game draws inspiration from other hit titles like Monument Valley, Child of Light and Radiant Historia, it does look promising.

Right now, the devs have yet to publish the Play Store page. But you can check out more features on the Steam page.
