The Love Live School Idol Festival 2 launch date is official – April 15! However, it’s only available in Japan at the moment. We’re not entirely sure when the global release is, with original rumors of the game’s launch to be around April 30.
Now that that rumor is redundant with the JP release set for April 15, we don’t actually know when the global audience will get to play the game.

It’s important to note that the game does have pre-registration rewards available for players who register before the game’s launch. We assume said pre-registration rewards are valid around the world and not just for the JP audience.
We’ve been keeping an eye on the game’s development over the past few weeks, so we’re ecstatic to now have an official launch date – even if it means we can’t get our hands on it just yet. Diehard fans of the franchise will be happy to know that the Love Live School Idol Festival 2 launch is just around the corner! Especially after the first installment in the series is due to shut down on March 31.
When is the Global Launch?
The quick release for JP fans means they won’t be without their favorite idol characters for long. However, regarding global players, we may have to wait a bit to get our own hands-on experience. There is an official news post on the game’s website about the future global release, yet it has no further information other than the fact that it is currently in the works.
