Marvel Mystic Mayhem has officially launched, brought to mobile by NetEase and Exptional Global. It’s a turn-based tactical RPG where you step into a Marvel world twisted by Nightmare. It has horror, strategy, and superhero action.
A Darker Version of the World
Nightmare is a villain who drags heroes and villains alike into their worst subconscious terrors. Doctor Strange and Sleepwalker lead the charge. The latter is making a fitting appearance since he only exists when his host is asleep.
They’re on a mission to save iconic characters who have become trapped inside nightmarish versions of their own minds. You’ll see both well-known and more obscure faces from the Marvel roster, including mystic and arcane characters.
You start by assembling a team from a mix of Marvel heroes and villains, selecting from class types like Striker, Controller, Defender, and Fighter. The game leans heavily into tactical decision-making.
Meanwhile, Nightmare is at the centre of multiple modes featuring large-scale battles with trap-filled environments. Taking him down will need you to know both his weaknesses and how the battlefield changes.
