After launching in September last year, MicroMacro: Downtown Detective has rolled out Expansion Pack 1. It’s its first expansion pack for mobile players with a fresh batch of investigations to the busy streets of Crime City.
What all does Expansion Pack 1 of MicroMacro: Downtown Detective include?
With Expansion Pack 1, the investigation continues into two fresh districts populated by quirky characters and unsettling secrets. The 14 additional, challenging cases range from minor offenses to more disturbing crimes.
You might even need to juggle multiple threads at once. Many solutions hinge on small clues that are easy to overlook on a first pass. So, keep your eyes wide open and spot the criminal. Or at least the crime!
The expansion was soft-launched late last year, but it’s now fully available. Apart from the new puzzles, it also includes new gameplay features. For instance, the team has added a new ‘mark main game as solved’ option for players returning for the expansion.

MicroMacro: Downtown Detective is an adaptation of the iconic and award-winning board game series Micro Macro: Crime City. The mobile version features a whole new city map, its own set of unsolved cases, and innovative game mechanics.
A co-op hidden picture board game, its cartoonish presentation contrasts with the darker elements of its cases. But that’s what makes it unique and fun. The base version of MicroMacro: Downtown Detective includes 22 cases.
