Talofa Games has kicked off early access for Monster Walk, their new monster-collecting RPG. It’s now live on Android and iOS in the UK, Canada, Sweden, Norway, Australia, Finland, and Denmark. They’re planning to release the game in the US and other regions later this year.
Talofa Games’ first mobile game was Run Legends, an interactive fitness game. It became popular due to its unique gameplay where the player’s movements unleashed attacks and skills. You needed to walk or run to win the battles.
Now, their second title is also blending movement with fantasy. Monster Walk is an RPG adventure powered entirely by your steps. You can go walk your dog or head to a nearby café and explore mysterious lands and catch weird and wonderful creatures.
Your steps, counted from your phone or a wearable, transform into in-game energy. This energy lets you collect resources and hatch and train monsters. So, each step helps charge up stamina, powers your attacks, and fuels base upgrades.
The game offers plenty to catch and befriend. Each monster has unique abilities, and you can level them up and strengthen bonds through daily activity. You’ll also be unlocking new regions and upgrading your home hub as you move.
Are you in any of the Monster Walk early access regions?
Catch glimpse of the game in this trailer below.
The battles in Monster Walk are quite proper. You dodge, block, and counter in fast-paced, bullet-hell style fights. You’ll run into real-time encounters while you move.
The game offers daily and weekly challenges. You’ll have to hit step targets, track down special monsters, or finish seasonal missions.
If you’re in any of the early access regions, you can grab Monster Walk from the Google Play Store.
