Back in March of this year we talked about how Android would finally be getting Magic The Gathers: Duels of the Planewalkers this Summer in the form of Magic 2014. Well more details are coming out as to what exactly this game will be coming with and two new debuts are happening with the release of Magic 2014.
For those of you not familiar with Magic 2014, this is the mobile version of the rather popular TCG (trading card game) that has been around for awhile now. Originally the Magic series for mobile was only available if you owned an iOS device. That is changing with Magic 2014 as Android users will finally be getting the game as well.
Slivers will be making their debut in Magic 2014 as well. Sliver are a sort of Hive-mind type of creature, nasty little things actually. As someone who used to play the physics TCG, I always enjoyed playing a Sliver deck. Some of the Slivers that will be making their appearance are the Sliver Construct, Megantic Sliver, and the Bonescythe Sliver.
Sealed Play will also be making its appearance in Magic 2014 where players will be able to use booster packs when a match starts, building their deck right on the spot basically. It is a sort of luck of the draw but even with not-so-great cards you can still win if you know how to use them. Sealed Play will be available for both single-player and multiplayer matches.
Both iOS and Android will be getting Magic 2014 sometime this Summer. Keep an eye out here as we will be sure to let everyone know when it hits Google Play.
