Fans of the One Piece anime series will be happy to know that their is a new augmented reality game from Namco Bandai themed around it called One piece ARCarddass Formation. Before you get too excited though, there are some pretty extreme limitations to who can play this game, at least for right now.
It seems as though there is a new physical One Piece TCG coming out onto the market in select countries right now. One each card is a barcode you can scan with this game to bring that character to life. You can also scan the card’s unique ID and have it registered into the game’s built-in binder so you can keep track of your cards.
Once you start registering cards into the game, you can start battling it out with other character. You can also set up a three-man team with your registered characters and battle it out with super powerful bosses as well. Apparently, if you don’t have any cards to register, you can scan coins and do battle with Zoro or collect items from treasure boxes.
Unfortunately, at least for right now, One Piece ARCarddass Formation seems to be location restricted right now even though it is fully translated into English. This might be due to the fact that the new physical One Piece TCG hasn’t been released into more countries just yet. Of course there are way to get around the location restriction but there is a high chance that this will eventually go global since it is already in English.
Not to be the bearer of bad news but this game also seems to be restricted to a very limited amount of devices right now. Perhaps this is a beta testing version although nothing is stated in the market description as it being a beta. Currently the only supported devices are L-01D（optimus LTE）,GALAXY S（SC-02B）,Xperia Acro（SO-02C）,GALAXY SⅡ（SC-02C）,HTC EVO 3D（ISW12HT）. It is safe to assume more will be added when this game goes global.
