Now GameStreaming: Resident Evil In Three Different Flavors To Enjoy

The original Resident Evil was released in 1996, and has forever changed the landscape of horror video games. Now it’s 2015 and the Resident Evil franchise is still alive and well, unlike the many zombies featured throughout the series. With the pending release of Resident Evil Revelations 2, now is a good time to catch up on the series.

Unfortunately there hasn’t been much in the way of Resident Evil on Android (beyond the port of 4 which was only available through Samsung Apps) but all is not lost for Nvidia Shield Owners. Using GameStream, there are many great, and some lousy, Resident Evil PC releases that can be streamed to the Shield Portable and Shield Tablet. Here are three worth looking at:

Resident Evil 4:

Considered by many to be the best game in the series, 4 has been the benchmark which all survival horror games released after are compared to. As Leon S. Kennedy, your mission it to rescue the President of the United States daughter. Of course you must face infected enemies, some of which have chainsaws for some reason, in intense encounters. While filled with more action than previous Resident Evil games, it is still scary, or at least it was to me when I played it.

Resident Evil Revelations:

First released as an exclusive to the Nintendo 3DS, Revelations took a more traditional approach to the series. Instead of lots of over the top action sequences, it focused on the survival aspect of the genre the series is known for. Along with the campaign there is also Raid Mode. It offers up additional challenges to complete. Currently I’m replaying the 3DS version to unlock Raid Mode, it is a good motivator to finish the game, despite having a very frustrating final boss.

Resident Evil HD Remaster:

The original Resident Evil has been remastered, well actually the remake of the original, but from reviews around the web, this is worth playing. Revisit Spencer’s Mansion, prepare a Jill sandwich, and get ready to Stream the game that started it all.
