Japanese game development studio SUCCESS Corporation has released NumTrail, a new mobile game on Android. It’s a number maze puzzle game that introduces a grid-based challenge. Though inspired by Sudoku, it’s more of a number maze or pathfinding puzzle.
What do you need to do in NumTrail?
You must move exactly the number of spaces shown on each tile in order to reach the goal. That straightforward instruction forms the backbone of a logic puzzle. Success depends on deciding the correct order in which to use the numbers scattered across the board and selecting a route that connects them efficiently.
Before committing to any move, you need to study the entire layout, plan the sequence, and account for the limited space available. Resource allocation across the grid becomes increasingly important as stages grow in size and complexity.
Although the rules are simple, NumTrail tests your strategy, intuition, and judgment. And it doesn’t reward random movement. A single miscalculation can create a dead end, forcing you to rethink your approach.
Route selection, path exploration, and repeated trial and error define much of the challenge in NumTrail. Many puzzles feature multiple valid solutions, so you can experiment and refine your own problem-solving styles.

It’s for players of all ages!
NumTrail accommodates both quick sessions and extended concentration. You get easier puzzles, which you can complete during short breaks. And you also get more difficult stages that provide a deeper, more demanding experience.
At launch, NumTrail offers more than 200 stages available free of charge. The game includes over 10 distinct board layout variations. In addition, 8 new puzzles are added daily. For a larger library, the total number of stages can expand to over 800 through an in-app purchase.
