Nvidia’s Shield officially launches tomorrow, pre-orders will also be shipping out

Nvidia’s Tegra 4 Android-powered handheld gaming device Shield will be officially launching tomorrow. For those of you who pre-ordered one of these, shipping of your orders will also begin tomorrow which means you should have your hands on your new Shield in a matter of days.

Nvidia’s Shield, for those of you not familiar with this device for some reason, is a handheld gaming device Nvidia developed and is powered with their new Tegra 4 chipset. Right now there are over 100 games optimized for this device and by optimized we mean get visual eye candy to enjoy and control support. However any Android game with controller support will be playable on Shield.

You can also stream PC and Steam games from your PC to your Shield over Wifi. So now you can be lazy and play whatever PC game you want while laying around in your bed. This device also runs pure Android Jelly Beam, has a 5″ HD touchscreen display, plenty of ports and basically all the options you need.

If you haven’t picked up on yet through pre-orders, you can always purchase one tomorrow when the device officially launches for sale. It’ll cost you $299 to pick one up off of NVIDIA.com or Newegg.com or at select GameStop stores.
