Jagex has dropped a new boss fight in Old School RuneScape, which features Yama, the Master of Pacts. The story follows the long-running Great Kourend questline. This update is set to bring back some high-stakes energy for you if you’ve already tackled A Kingdom Divided in 2021.
Remember Taking Down the Master of Pacts’ Judge?
If you remember taking down Yama’s Judge back in 2021, know that it was just the beginning. In the latest update, Yama himself has stepped into the spotlight. A fire demon minotaur with wings, hooves, horns, and a massive axe.
Yama is hanging out deep below Kourend in the Chasm of Fire, amassing power and commanding his fanatical Disciples. If you thought the Judge in Old School RuneScape was tough, Yama is on another level.
There is a high-intensity endgame encounter packed with deadly attacks, environmental hazards, and chaos that demands quick reflexes and solid teamwork. And if you’re playing solo, then you can probably imagine the amount of pressure you’ll be under.

To jump in, you’ll need to have completed A Kingdom Divided. Grab your Best in Slot gear and maxed combat stats before even considering signing that contract to face Yama. yep, there’s actually a contract.
