Orna: the GPS RPG is heading into another big event with Natureblight. It’s a new in-game chapter that kicks off May 30th, 2025, and runs through June 14th. It’s the latest part of Terra’s Legacy and once again lets players face an environmental battle.
In Natureblight, Orna: The GPS RPG Has a New Threat Called the Great Murk
Northern Forge Studios is putting a strong spotlight on the planet, just like some of their previous updates. With Natureblight, Orna: the GPS RPG is bringing some real-world conservation themes.
This is also the studio’s second time joining the Green Game Jam with support from the Playing for the Planet Alliance. If you’ve played Orna before, you know how it blends fantasy with real-world location data. The new event will take you to places that are actually facing serious environmental issues.
During the event, you’ll be teleported across Orna’s world to versions of seven real locations. Each stop introduces a new animal guardian, symbolising the local ecosystem they live in.
So, you’ll head to Prince Edward County in Canada to meet the Beaver and dive into Oceania’s Coral Reefs. You’ll also walk the foggy trails of Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable Forest alongside the Mountain Gorilla and face frozen relics like the Bone Mammoth in Dunkerque, France.
There’s also the Giant Tortoise in Ecuador’s Galapagos Islands, the Giant Panda in Chengdu, China, and the Macaroni Penguin holding ground in the Antarctic Peninsula. You can befriend these Animal Guardians and keep them as companions after the event is over.
And What About the Great Murk?
As you move through each area, you’ll uncover how the alien Terran people damaged their own natural world. There’s deforestation, pollution, and extinction. And now the same type of blight, the Great Murk, is returning, so you need to push it back.
To go along with the theme, there’s also a Natureblight pack available in Orna: the GPS RPG through PlanetPlay. It includes origin town cosmetics, character sprites, and consumable boosters. Check out the game on the Google Play Store.
