Out Now for Android – Lost Toys by Indie Game Developer Barking Mouse Studios

There are a lot of big budget game developers that produce amazing games.  They have scores of team members and the technology to produce what eventually become blockbuster titles. When we come across a game that is equally impressive from an indie game developer everyone should take notice. These are the games that should be celebrated. That is what has happened to two-team indie game developers Danielle Swank and Jim Fleming of Barking Mouse Studios with their first game Lost Toys.

Lost Toys was released earlier this year on IOS and has recently arrived in the Play Store. “Lost Toys is a mentally engaging 3D puzzle game of profound beauty, depth and challenge. Toys are lost, broken, or forgotten. Fixing them promises to right this hauntingly gorgeous chamber and restore the childhood innocence that has been lost. – Barking Mouse Studio

Lost Toys Features:

Spiral down to discover a surreal world populated by discarded, mixed-up toys hanging lifelessly from the ceiling. Reconstruct the jumbled toys to reveal their original shapes to progress through 4 chapters and – 32 levels in this gothic masterpiece. The more levels you fix the harder they get.
– Spin the petrified wooden toy in full 3D to study it from every angle.
– Learn the intuitive controls through discovery.
– Two play modes, standard and unlimited.
– Rotate the scrambled pieces in the proper order to unravel the childhood toy.
– There are no timers, points, or scores. You won’t miss them.
– Tap the (?) if you grow weary of the challenge, or avoid it altogether for a real brain bender.
– Replay levels as many times as you like. The toys are reshuffled each time.
– Original soundtrack by Peter Rudenko. Best experienced with headphones.

Comparisons have been made to Rubik’s Cube type game play and Zen Bound 2 by Secret Exit. Both of those comparisons make sense. How the puzzle pieces are manipulated is similar to playing with a Rubik’s Cube and the graphics in Lost Toys are as equally stunning as in Zen Bound 2. The music which is created by Peter Rudenko is exquisite and can put you in a meditative state while playing this game.

If you are interested in a puzzle game that provides intrigue, great music and a hearty challenge, Lost Toys is available to download in the Play Store for $2.99. The only downside is that the game is for ‘Tablets only.’ Hopefully your tablet appears in the list of available devices. If it does, definitely hit the install button to support indie game developers like Barking Mouse Studios.
