Paradox Interactive releases a new trailer for Knights of Pen & Paper 2, complete with 60FPS gameplay

Paradox Interactive has released a new trailer for their upcoming tabletop gaming inspired title Knights of Pen & Paper 2. This is the sequel to their original Knights of Pen & Paper game which we went hands-on with during GDC 2015 and found that it was quite a lot of fun. This sequel will also have plenty of improvement over the original include a much needed inventory system.

Knights of Pen & Paper 2 has players taking the role of a tabletop RPG Dungeon Master as well as the group of players who happen to be playing your game. This game will be decorated with 16-bit graphics instead of the 8-bit visuals the original game had, showing that this game is a sequel and progressing in more than one way. The goal in this game is to stop a great evil from making the entire world unplayable. This will happen if the dreaded ‘version 2 ruleset’ becomes a reality.

The trailer showcases some of the content that will be coming with the game’s release. It is, however, done in “crisp, jaw-dropping 1080p at 60FPS”. The trailer also features sound, and the “revolutionary interactive ‘pause’ feature”. If anything you have to give credit to Paradox Interactive with some of the humor they come up with.

As for when Knights of Pen & Paper 2 will be released, there is no exact date announced as of right now. The same goes for pricing, although it should be around the same price as the original game.
