When we first reported on Penny Arcade’s third installment into their retro style RPG series, it was told that the game would be arriving shortly after the June, 2012 release of the Xbox and PC versions. Well June has come and gone with no real word about when Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness 3 will arrive on Android or iOS. Well the Penny Arcade crew are showing it off at PAX and now the mobile version has a release time frame.
The game is actually developed by Zeboyd Games while the artwork is being provided by Penny Arcade. Retro game fans will be quite pleased with this title as it features pretty much the standard gameplay mechanics found in RPG titles from back in the day of early consoles. This also goes for the visuals as well.
While the Steam version of Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness 3 on sale for 40% off to celebrate PAX, should you be interested in picking the game up right now until the mobile versions are ready, the game is now slated for release on both Android and iOS this October. As long as everything goes smoothly, we should soon have another retro RPG to play.
