Pixel Starships 2 is coming to Android. The next chapter in Savy Soda’s starship strategy series is planning to land in early access this Fall on mobile and PC. Pre-registration is already live on the Android for the upcoming sequel of Pixel Starships, which was released in 2016.
What’s New This Time?
Pixel Starships 2 is set in a galaxy filled with complex factions and shifting alliances. What’s new is a new single-player campaign. You’ll have to make decisions that ripple across multiple star systems, changing the course of the storyline and the political balance of power.
Also, in the new game, you’ll be doing a lot more than building a starship. You’ll navigate intergalactic diplomacy, manage crew dynamics, and command your fleet in real-time battles.
Ship design is back with new weapons, extended build limits, and a deeper layer of customisation. You can optimise every module you install and every crew member you train for performance. And each decision will affect your ship’s efficiency in combat.
Visually, Pixel Starships 2 on Android has a modernized engine. It offers sharper 3D ship models while maintaining the iconic pixel art aesthetic. Characters and animations are more expressive, too. And there’s a revamped cross-section view for a more tactile and immersive experience.
Pixel Starships 2 Opens Pre-Registration on Android, Meanwhile on Steam…
You can get a taste of what’s coming during the Steam Next Fest starting June 9th. A special demo version of Pixel Starships 2 will be available to try out during the event. The demo will give a first glimpse at the improved combat mechanics and campaign structure.
