Pokemon Go Fest 2021 is Going to Mess About With Space and Time

This year’s Pokemon Go Fest, which is running alongside the game’s fifth birthday celebrations, is set to mess around with the fundamental concepts of the universe. Well, sort of. It’s set to introduce a new event called Ultra Unlock, that gives trainers a series of challenges to complete.

If trainers complete eight challenges in the Global Challenge Arena, they’ll unlock Ultra Unlock Part 1: Time. This will run from Friday, July 23, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. to Tuesday, August 3, 2021, at 8:00 p.m. local time and see Pokemon from different eras appearing more often.

Nail 16 challenges and Ultra Unlock Part 2: Space will be up next. That’ll run from Friday, August 6, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. to Tuesday, August 17, 2021, at 8:00 p.m. local time and see Pokemon from different areas popping up.

The third and final part of Ultra Unlock doesn’t have a name, which is sort of ominous. It kicks in once 24 challenges have been completed and will run from Friday, August 20, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. to Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at 8:00 p.m. local time.

There’s loads more stuff happening for Pokemon Go Fest ticket holders, including Pokemon with unique move sets (including Pikachu Pop Star and Pikachu Rock Star), special trades, rare Pokemon appearing in raids and loads more.
