Pokémon GO is kicking off its road to the global GO Fest 2025 with plenty of stuff. There are three new themed events and the game is also bringing back legendary giants along with some Gigantamax Pokémon.
What Are the Events in Pokémon Go Global Go Fest 2025?
The first one on the list is Serene Retreat. It’s rolling out from May 30th to June 3rd, 2025. You’ll be spotting Pokémon like Chansey, Marill, Furfrou, Cutiefly, Morelull, Komala, and Hatenna. You might stumble upon a shiny Snorlax or Chimecho too.
Gigantamax Rillaboom will be showing up in six-star Max Battles from May 31st to June 1st, 2025. Yes, for the first time ever in Pokémon GO.
Meanwhile, Pokémon GO Fest 2025 Global is happening on June 28th and 29th. It’s a worldwide celebration with millions of trainers joining in, and it’s free to take part from anywhere. Watch the reveal right here.
If you buy a ticket to Pokémon GO Fest 2025 Global, you’ll get access to some nice extras, most notably an encounter with the Mythical Pokémon Volcanion. It’s finally making its global debut after appearing in Osaka, Jersey City, and Paris.
But before that, there’s another big event lined up!
It’s the Ancients Recovered runs from June 23rd to June 27th, 2025. The event brings back the Legendary Titans and their elemental cousins. Each day features a new five-star raid boss, with a special Raid Hour from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. on that day.
June 23rd brings Regirock, Regice, and Registeel; June 24th features Regieleki; June 25th brings Regidrago; June 26th has Regigigas; and on June 27, they all return for a grand finale.
The Legendary Pokémon caught during the event will know exclusive moves. Regirock gets Earthquake, Regice gets Thunder, Registeel gets Zap Cannon and Regieleki gets Thunder Cage. Regidrago gets both Dragon Breath and Dragon Energy, while Regigigas will come with Crush Grip.
Lastly, six-star Max Battles during Ancients Recovered will feature not just Rillaboom again, but also Gigantamax Cinderace and Inteleon. Get the game from the Google Play Store to dive into the events.
