What’s in store?
The Kanto Celebration is up first, running from September 2nd at 10:00 a.m. to September 7th, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. It’s the region where the series began. Expect to see Chansey, Snorlax, Abra, and other Kanto Pokémon popping up in the wild.
Bonuses include one guaranteed Candy XL when you evolve Pokémon, three times the Mega Evolution duration, and double XP for spinning PokéStops. Evolving Ivysaur, Charmeleon, or Wartortle during the event will net you Venusaur with Frenzy Plant, Charizard with Blast Burn, and Blastoise with Hydro Cannon.
The Tales of Transformation season runs from September 2nd to December 2nd, 2025, in Pokémon GO. It’s bringing Keldeo in its Resolute Form for the first time in the game. Trainers who already have Keldeo can keep building up their bond with it to collect more Candy.
Mega Evolutions include Sharpedo, Camerupt, and Metagross, making their Mega debuts in Raid Days. Also, new Pokémon like Dipplin and Hydrapple are also being introduced to the game for the first time.
On the battle side, Dynamax and Gigantamax Pokémon are entering the fray. Gigantamax Garbodor and Dynamax Duraludonare are being teased as big raid challenges. Team GO Rocket’s Shadow Groudon is also making its first appearance in Shadow Raids alongside Giovanni’s return.
More stuff is coming up!
From September 9th to 14th, Pokémon GO will tie into Netflix’s stop-motion series Pokémon Concierge. Psyduck wearing a swim ring will be making its first appearance, along with a shiny version. Sealeo and Shinx will also show up in the wild.
