Preserve is a new nature-building puzzle game on mobile that first dropped on Steam. It was developed by Bitmap Galaxy, an indie Slovakian game development studio. They were inspired by games like Dorfromantik to build an amusing and meaningful game. On mobile, it’s getting published by Plug In Digital.

Relax, Create, Preserve

The game lets you build ecosystems using flora and fauna cards. You grow forests, wetlands, and meadows while making sure every plant and animal fits into a balanced food chain.

The game offers multiple ways to play. Harmony mode focuses on collecting harmony points by creating habitats, placing animals, unlocking natural wonders, and expanding the map.

Puzzle mode challenges you with small, hand-crafted maps and a fixed hand of cards where you need to hit specific point goals. Classic mode sticks to the core loop of balance and expansion.

Creative mode removes all restrictions, allowing you to freely shape landscapes however you like. Photo mode then lets you capture and share your finished creations at the end of each session.

Preserve expands beyond horizontal map growth. A vertical layer system lets you stack nature, building habitats that spread upward as well as outward.

The hexagonal map uses three elevation levels, which are lowlands, highlands, and mountains. They decide which types of flora and fauna can survive where.

From alpine forests and savannas to Caribbean reefs and arctic tundras, each biome comes with unique species, environments, and mechanics.

Let life flourish under your care

Natural wonders bring extra beauty to the landscapes, ranging from lavender fields to massive redwood forests. You can unlock them using a Card Upcycle System, which lets you trade in a set of regular cards for special ones.

In Preserve, animals move within their habitats, rivers flow, and waterfalls roar. Plants grow and landscapes shift to create a dynamic, vivid environment. Accompanied by gentle music, the game’s tranquil mechanics encourage you to slow down and take in the details.

Free to download with no ads, you can play the game offline as well. So, check it out on the Google Play Store.
